We use a great deal of our time in our workplaces. We basically reside here during the weekdays, working beginning 9AM in the morning until 6PM or even later. Sometimes, because we are too used to what our surroundings feel and look like, we even think about our offices as our second home. Problems might occur in these conditions because we might fail to remember our work ethics when we get this feeling. Having efficient office designs that will make workers remember the difference of home from workplace can make this dilemma go away.

Office Problems Due To Bad Office Designs

Employees who are too relaxed or too stressed are somtimes caused by inappropriate office designs. Workers see their place of work as either heaven or hell. Heaven if they are too relaxed and most of the time do nothing and hell if they see it as a place of suffering and pain. The workplace should ideally be well balanced. It should promote hard work and determination while discouraging anxiety, suffering and pain.

Also, because of bad designs, workers sometimes fail to remember what things can and cannot be done in the place of work. They fail to remember the true meaning of being in an office resulting to poor performance or deeds that are bad for the office. They sometimes get materials from the office like paper clips and papers for their personal use. In worst cases, they can even sleep or take a bath in the office.

Separating The Office And The Home

These are very bad deeds that in reality occur in some offices if the places of work are too comfortable. Because of this, there is a need to provide a division of the home and office. With this separation, employees will know how to properly act inside the office. They will realize their limits thus, resulting to a more ethical and operational workplace.

A good business ethics shapes how the organization will perform. It dictates how the employees should act and give the employees guidelines and limits of the things that they can do. By using efficient methods like making the workplace and office designs more employee and business friendly, the organization can expect a more effective, efficient and ethical employees.
