Ideally, goodness should prevail among groups. With a sense of accountability towards respective actions, only then will people learn to value ethics. It is unfortunate enough that some people are malicious that they take advantage of circumstances to destroy that sense of peace and order among the system. It is for this very reason that the WhistleBlower hotline exists.

The laws clearly state that this system should exist to encourage fairness and a sense of responsibility among workers who strive to make the company thrive, be it public or private. Through whatever context, it is also understood that people should perform their duties with a good sense of right and wrong. Otherwise, problems will surface, thus posing a threat to the order of things.

There are arguments that revolve around this topic because people think differently about it. Of course, there are scenarios in which it could work for or against goodness. The main thrust of the movement, however, is to use it to an advantage that will promote the greater good. As such, these privileges should be taken into account for whatever its worth.

In the office setup, people are prone to witnessing several conducts that even the management do not know of yet. With open door policies, employees are encouraged to speak out when needed so that the problem could be remedied. The only possible problem is that some employees are not comfortable about identifying themselves.

For starters, those involved in high profile cases may risk their lives especially if the possibility of retaliation is present. Although the drive to make someone accountable responsible for his or her actions, anonymity is often crucial to avoid any mishaps from happening. This is a safety measure that is required especially when the problem deals with crimes.

That being said, the hotline serves as a ready soundboard that would protect the interests of the company while also minimizing the possible loss through early detection. Studies have already proven that tips leading to the witnessing of fraudulent activities have been successful in cutting back the losses to 50 percent. Other illegal activities that were found out too late did not benefit form this.

On the other hand, this is also a good way for employees to ensure that they are being treated right by the management. If the misconducts can be traced to the administration, then the hotline should also serve as a soundboard that would protect their rights and interests according to the law. The act of reporting is a crucial element while the corresponding action will put a finality in the resolution.

Third party organizations are usually the ones that handle the hotlines because they are deemed fit to practice fairness. Bias is poisonous in situations like this that is why it is important to eliminate that. Also, human interaction is always better when dealing with sensitive issues like this because it allows for more human connection.

From the end of the complainant, they should be advised to speak out only when they can prove that a wrongdoing is indeed being committed. Mere hunches may work out as tips, but evidence is still necessary in putting credibility to the claims. With the WhistleBlower hotline, there is an assurance that everyone has the equal opportunity to let the truth prevail no matter what the cost.
